I support the
Motor Neurone Disease Association. All
donations and sponsorship raised during my cycle adventures
will go to support the work that The Motor Neurone Disease
Association do for sufferers and their families.

In February
2004, my mother-in-law, Brenda Fox died. She had suffered from
Motor Neurone Disease for almost two years. This vicious,
debilitating disease is extremely horrific to see take hold of
a loved one. MND is a progressive neurodegenerative disease
that attacks the |
|
upper and lower motor neurones. Degeneration of the motor
neurones leads to weakness and wasting of muscles, causing
increasing loss of mobility in the limbs, and difficulties
with speech, swallowing and breathing. The condition is
terminal with no known cure. |
